JOB DESCRIPTION
Account Handler provide essential support to/ under the supervision of/ taking instructions from the Marine Insurance Account Managers. Assist with preparation of documentation, filing and data processing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Mainly but not limited to:
- Preparations of relevant documentations such as quotations / placement slips, schedules and calculations, cover notes, endorsements , addenda to cover notes, closing slips, draft policies, debit and credit notes
- Submitting relevant documentation to the Broking / Support Staff to ensure that required documents are sent to insurers and clients without mistakes
- Monitoring respective clients statement of accounts regularly, inputting of Marine Insurance underwriting data, filing (recording and monitoring of documents and relevant updating), administer file storage and retrieval process
- Process, coordinate, sort and distribute incoming correspondence for Marine Insurance business
- Provide backup support for staff who are away from office within the department
- Ad hoc administrative duties as required/assigned from time to time.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma and/or Degree holders
- Candidates with relevant working experience in insurance broking company will have an added advantage.
- Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply
SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Organised, detailed and deadline oriented
- Meticulous and willing to learn
