Accountant (10 months Contract)

MAIN PURPOSE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant is responsible for supporting a range of accounting and related activities, including business partnering for IT, GST returns preparation and submission and monthly closing activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform monthly closing (including preparation of journal entries, bank clearing and reconciliation schedules) and ensure timely and accurate submission and reporting for both Cosmetics and Fragrance
• Prepare quarterly GST returns and ensure timely submission
• Business partnering for IT (prepare monthly reports, liaise with IT for budget and LE submissions)
• Support audit, tax, compliance reporting and analysis as needed
• Review processes for continuous improvement; support process enhancements and new system implementation as needed
• Assist to monitor and review internal controls effectiveness and ensure compliance
• Any other tasks assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Accountant, Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• SAP S4 Hana experience preferred
• Minimum 3 5 years of relevant working experience
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; motivated with high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines, targets and objectives
• Proficient in MS Office applications
