Accountant (4-months contract)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee the entire full spectrum of accounting function, including GL, AP, and AR.
2. Perform the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements, including all entities (VFT Singapore, Liv Energy JV, VFT Africa).
3. Liaise with external auditors for the annual audit process to ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Perform analysis and manage yearly corporate tax and GST submissions.
5. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, implementing effective accounts receivable collection strategies to improve cash flow, and collaborating with BD team to reduce aged past dues.
6. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (CA, ACCA, CPA or CMA Certification is preferred.)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting or cost accounting or cost control.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, cost accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in accounting software Microsoft Excel, Xero and ERP system (e.g. SAP, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
