Job Description:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts, preparing financial statements and reports, and handling various accounting tasks such as invoice reconciliation, GST submission, and month-end closing. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft applications, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare consolidated financial statements and schedules for annual, half-yearly, and quarterly reviews.
Reconcile and post exhibition invoices and collections efficiently.
Handle Right-of-Use (ROU) transactions on a monthly basis.
Accurately post collections from customers, including AMEX and Contra Supplier.
Prepare and verify journal and payment vouchers.
Submit quarterly GST returns in a timely manner.
Calculate commissions based on customer collections.
Generate comprehensive customer reports, including AR Ageing, AR movement, top sales, and individual customer performance.
Prepare Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for exhibitions.
Oversee month-end closing processes and prepare management accounts.
Reconcile accounts receivable (AR) and prepare segment P&L.
Design and revamp Excel spreadsheets for better efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager (FM) or Financial Controller (FC).
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Meticulous, with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
