The Position
We are currently seeking for an Accountant to join BW Offshore. This role will be based in Singapore for a one year contract and report to the Financial Controller.
You are responsible for
- Co-ordinate monthly closing activities and ensure timely financial closing and reporting
- Responsible for finance support and communication with other Business units within the organisation
- Liaise closely with Asset/Project/Commercial Manager on Clients invoicing and documentation requirements
- Review general ledger and responsible for statutory, management and tax reporting of assigned companies
- Ensure reporting meets requirements and compliance to statutory audit and tax regulations
- Assist in annual budgeting, monthly variance analysis and rolling forecast
- Prepare audit schedules (reconciliation pack) and follow up on outstanding items timely
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of the job function
- Ensure adequate controls are in place and procedures are developed and followed
- Liaise with external auditors on audit
- Perform any other tasks as required by Finance
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
- Long relevant experience may replace formal education
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience, with some supervisory experience
- Previous cross border and multicultural experience will be an added advantage
