Accountant
We are looking for an Accountant to support our Lease and Revenue accounting team in APAC on variety of accounting matters
Responsibilities
Leasing
Assist with accounting for leasing transactions in compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including accounting standard, company policies and internal control standards
Review and analyze lease contracts and prepare accounting impact analysis
Prepares journal entries for posting, flux analysis and reconciliations work as needed
Assist on financial audit PBC requests for quarterly financial review and the annual audit for both Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and local statutory requirements
Revenue
Conduct review of customer contracts to determine revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 standards. Prepare accounting memos/write-ups to document the revenue accounting treatment.
Review and analyze revenue/bad debt reserves file and prepare journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Perform reconciliations of revenue-related general ledger accounts, proactively investigate discrepancies, and implement resolutions to address any variances.
Calculate and apply ASC 606 revenue adjustments on a quarterly basis, ensuring financial statements accurately reflect the company's revenue position.
Others
Prepare ASC 842 and ASC 606 financial disclosures for inclusion in SEC filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Supports the partnership with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve a variety of accounting matters
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
3+ years experience preferred
Good understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) or IFRS is preferred and prior experience in lease and/or revenue accounting (ASC 842 or IFRS 16 and/or ASC 606 or IFRS 15) is a plus
Exhibit strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Team player with a positive attitude
