We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join ABL Group in Singapore on a 6 month fixed term contract Maternity cover. If you are an accounting professional and solution-oriented with an eye for detail, then this could be you.
What you will be doing.
As our Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring and providing accurate financial information and support.
In this varied role, you will support all finances in Singapore, and play a pivotal role in assisting with the organizations administrative duties, including admin-related duties, facilities, and coordination with ABL offices worldwide. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Be responsible for recording and maintaining financial records and assisting the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager to produce accurate financial accounts.
Maintain project accounting.
Responsible for correlation of timesheets, WIP and UBR.
Prepare invoices to clients in a timely and professional manner and assist in collection from clients.
Monitor inter-company balances monthly.
Process payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses.
Assist with month end close and routine finance reports.
Maintain financial files and records.
Assist with year-end statutory accounts and schedules and annual financial audit.
Always comply with the company QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites.
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned or requested by the management.
The role is based in Singapore, and the incumbent needs to have the right to work and reside in Singapore. Flexibility to working hours may be required from time to time.
What we are looking for.
We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate who demonstrates financial and office management skills with a strong attitude to work and adapts to a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and proactive in managing a varied workload. In addition, you:
Hold a University Degree, Diploma or equivalent well-qualified with a recognized professional accounting body.
At least 3 years relevant and acceptable work from similar position.
Advanced Microsoft excel skills preferably with formula driven worksheets and accounting software.
Good understanding of FRS.
High degree of computer literacy to include competence in current Microsoft applications file management and Internet.
Solid understanding of financial accounting standards and a good understanding of cost/management and reconciliation of cash, debtors and creditors.
Experience with audit activities and reporting, accounts payable and receivable.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Meticulous, hard-working, conscientious, professional and independent.
Self-motivated and analytical with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
