Job Description

Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) is Singapore's national association for company directors. Formed in 1998, its mission is to uplift the directorship profession and champion good governance. Its membership comprises board directors, company leaders, and professionals with an interest in corporate governance. A Governing Council guides the direction and work of the organisation, and SID Committees comprise industry professionals, academics and corporate governance experts.

The Accreditation & Professional Development team, which you will be a part of, oversees the development of accreditation frameworks and tools, as well as SID's professional development curriculum. The team supports the strengthening of SID's positioning in the market as a thought leader for all things directorship and/or governance, and a standard bearer for good governance.

As part of the work, you will report to Vice President, Accreditation & Professional Development. Your role will also include working with SID's Accreditation & Professional Development Committees, the SID Executive Team, eco-system partners, and any other relevant committees or working groups as assigned by the CEO.

Scope of Work

You will support the Vice President, Accreditation & Professional Development primarily in the following areas:

1. Competency Framework and Standards Development

  • Maintain existing frameworks and standards related to SID Accreditation which include the following:
  1. SID Director Competency Model.
  2. SID Accreditation Framework (Examination and Qualification Pathways).
  3. SID Disciplinary Framework.
  4. Mutual Recognition Agreements.
  5. Micro-credentialing for Speciality Directorship Badges.

2. Assessment Platform and Question Bank Management

  • Lead in assessment technology matters, e.g., remote proctoring systems, digital badging, item banking, preparatory courses etc, to support SID members in their accreditation journey.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to deepen and expand Accreditation Question Bank based on SID Board Director Competency Model. Apply sound item development principles in alignment with educational measurement best practices.
  • Develop a pool of item developers and faculty for the purpose of sustainable question bank maintenance and content development.
  • Develop the data analytic capability of the accreditation team for the purpose of optimising accreditation and competency related data.

3. Accreditation & Credentialing Operations

  • Manage a team of 2 Accreditation Executives and have operational oversight for all accreditation related activities including point-of-contact queries, service interventions, project management and quality assurance. Accreditation related activities include examinations, professional registry, issuance of digital credentials / post nominals.
  • Synergise the accreditation framework and work with Head, Professional Development to curate the required professional development support for candidates pre and post accreditation.

4. Secretariat Duties

  • Provide secretariat duties to SID Committees and/or Chapters including supporting the agenda and activities of the Committee and/or Chapter.
  • Support SID in the strengthening of any internal functional processes, e.g., in preparation or compliance to ISO Certification.

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology / Education / Learning & Development or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience, with at least 1 year experience in developing assessments, certifications or maintaining exam operations.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in the implementation and management of remote assessments, (preferably for adult courseware of an institute of higher learning, educational or professional body) will be an advantage.
  • Possess competencies in project management, standards setting and product development for training related products or programmes.
  • Familiarity with JASP or SPSS will be advantageous.
