Responsibilities:
- Individualized Education Planning: Collaborate with families, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs and conduct assessments to identify students strengths, needs, and learning goals.
- Classroom Instruction: Deliver instructions and implement various instructional techniques, materials and technologies to students with special needs and accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Progress Monitoring and Evaluation: Contribute to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student's progress, performance, observations and achievements and assist in assessing their academic, social, and behavioral development.
- Individualized Support and Differentiation: Provide support and assist students based on guidance and differentiating instructions from experienced educators to address a range of abilities, interests, and learning styles - including implementing remediation, accommodations, and modifications.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate and participate in team meetings with colleagues, therapists, and families to discuss students progress and ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student support and development.
- Professional Development: Engage in comprehensive training and mentorship programs designed to enhance knowledge, skills, best practices, research and advancements in special education.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Special Education / Early Childhood or any related fields
- Passion, patience, and empathy to work with individuals with special needs
- Past experience in the role will be an added advantage
