Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled AI Specialist to join our Data Horizontal team. The successful candidate will have extensive AI expertise and will play a crucial role in driving engagement with FFG workstreams on AI capability and adoptions.
Responsibilities
- Drive AI Engagement: Lead and manage engagement with FFG workstreams to enhance AI capabilities and adoption within the organization.
- Stakeholder Involvement: Collaborate closely with on-shore stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication across AI development projects.
- AI Development: Contribute to the development of new AI solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Capability Building: Help build AI capabilities within the team by sharing knowledge, providing training, and staying updated with the latest AI trends and technologies.
- Project Management: Oversee AI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to derive insights and support decision-making processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into existing systems and processes.
Strategy
- Devise and drive the execution of comprehensive process and strategies to maintain accuracy and consistency in financial risk reporting.
- Align these data management strategies with the overall business model and strategy, considering market trends and internal business objectives.
Business
- Maintain a deep understanding of the business, economic, and market environment in which the Risk Group operates.
- Use this understanding to influence data management practices.
Processes
- Solid understanding of data gathering process and verification, and management processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of Critical Reporting Elements across various reports. Implement and manage operational risk controls related to data management, in line with the Group's Operational Risk Framework.
People & Talent
- Ensuring accuracy, reliability and compliance with internal controls, industry standards and regulations
Risk Management
- Proactively identify, assess, monitor, control, and mitigate any data-related risks that could potentially affect the Group.
- Develop a deep understanding of the primary risks facing the Group in relation to data accuracy and consistency for financial risk management and devise strategies to manage these risks effectively
Governance
- Establish, implement, and oversee robust governance structures for data management, ensuring full compliance with both internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Keep abreast of changes in governance, oversight, and controls related to data management and swiftly implement necessary adjustments

- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively to achieve shared objectives and resolve any issues promptly, while supporting the CDO's Risk agenda.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in AI development, with a strong portfolio of successful AI projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AI and machine learning frameworks, programming languages (e.g., Python, R), and data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
