Job Description
Role: Accountant
Location: Singapore, West
Reporting to: Regional Finance Manager
Overview:
As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger:Prepare and post journal entries, including IFRS 16 lease accounting and inventory provisions.
Oversee month-end closing, FX revaluation, and period opening/closing.
Handle tax filings, including GST, withholding tax, and VAT.
Assist with payroll, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external parties.
- Accounts Receivable:Manage customer data, release sales orders, and follow up on payments.
Prepare credit notes, post receipts, and forecast cash flows.
Handle bad debt provisions, intercompany confirmations, and tax computations.
- Accounts Payable:Manage vendor data, process invoices, and match to purchase orders.
Post supplier invoices, apply payments, and forecast cash flows.
Handle intercompany confirmations, prepayments, and staff claims.
Prepare fixed cost reports and process payments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a finance role
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
