We're looking for a hands-on and motivated self-starter who's passionate about using data to help us derive business insights for the APJ (Asia Pacific & Japan) AWS business and influence decision-making.

We are looking for a senior leader to partner with the AWS APJ AGS (AWS Global Sales) leadership teams to define, land and execute our Partner sales priorities for the AWS APJ business. This role is responsible for defining market making Partner strategies, defining the right goals/targets for the business, supporting the Operations of the Partner Sales teams across APJ through to the day-to-day execution of the Partner Sales business. This individual contributor role reports to the APJ Central Operations leader in the APJ Global Sales Organization (GSO) team.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and execute the APJ AGS Partner Strategy and support AWS APJ's partner first model by leading the Partner Sales Operations function. We expect the leader to analyze business trends, and make actionable business recommendations to senior management to support driving our aggressive growth plans and managing the tight alignment between Partner Sales and Field Sales teams. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be working with APJ Partner Sales leadership team and Business leaders to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, analytics and strategies to meet organizational goals and initiatives.

Core elements of the role include

  • Key partner to the APJ AGS Sales, Partner, GTM and GSO Leadership Teams.
  • Work with senior leadership in Partner Sales to define strategy for the business.
  • Develop APJ's Partner Everywhere Strategy to tightly connect between the Field Sales teams and Partner Sales teams across APJ
  • Influence Worldwide Partner leaders to fix metrics aligned with APJ AGS priorities. Support to accelerate partner-led business with a data analysis to AGS sales leaders (e.g., ISV whitespace analysis)
  • Assist in developing APJ Partner narratives
  • Design goal-setting and monitor the progress of key Partner Sales metrics
  • Define the key sales support systems/processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives.
  • Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance of models, metrics, reports, analyses, and insights to drive key business decisions.
  • Lead initiatives across the worldwide Partner operations team
  • Lead the development and provision of analytic insights to senior management regarding Business Development initiatives, customer segment performance, and overall performance against goals
  • Develop relationships and processes with sales, partner, finance, HR, sales operations, and other stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 10+ years experience working in Sales operations, Business operations areas directly engaging with sales force
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven experience with the development and implementation of systems/tool utilized for SFDC, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting etc
  • Expert level in Excel and Data query tools
  • Strong business-process design experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with the Partner (or Channel) Sales function a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
