Job purpose:
You will be part of application center team to deliver a strong regional market service in terms of technical product support, new product specification and product systemization in proximity.
Responsibilities:
- To be the Subject Matter Expert for Power Reliability products and solutions not limited to the main product groups: power supplies and surge protection devices.
- Stay abreast on market's demand and development of technology in the field of power reliability.
- Provide timely accurate application and technical support to the region sales subsidiaries and customers for power reliability related topics.
- Conduct multi-tier product and solution training to different audience segment.
- Work closely with region sales subsidiaries and assist with generating sales & marketing enablement collaterals not limited to demos, white papers, short videos etc.
- Custodian of solution / project references to aid regional project success.
- Design and Develop Phoenix Contact product-mix solutions and systems with market-orientated value propositions to address market and customers demands, needs and pain points.
- Specifying new product variants, coordinating customer specific lab tests, and managing local product approvals.
- Perform in house product / solution testing with documentation based on customer requirements.
- Setting up the process and establish close communication with the region sales subsidiaries to understand and support their market demands and requirements.
- Required to travel to customer's location for technical consultation.
- Setting up the process and establish communication channels with BU and RBUs for regional market feedback, in-depth product development requirement and support.
- Participate in industry specific associations and exchange of industry specific trends and developments within the ICE division.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve individual, team and departmental objectives, sharing knowledge and skills as appropriate.
- Demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to changing business priorities.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical / surge protection / power systems.
- Electrical block diagram / single line diagram literacy.
- Familiar with surge protection standards.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Ability to converse in Japanese language to liaise with native speakers from our Japan counterparts and customers will be helpful
- Proficient with Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Customer-driven and results-oriented.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Disciplined, hardworking and able to perform under pressure.
- Willing to travel within short notice e.g. Training, Trade shows, etc.
