Application Manager

Responsibilities:
Ensuring that applications are functioning correctly and addressing any issues or bugs that arise.
Providing technical support to users and troubleshooting problems.
Planning and coordinating the deployment of new applications or updates to existing applications.
Testing new releases to ensure they meet performance and security standards before deployment.
Monitoring application performance to identify and resolve performance issues.
Implementing optimization techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of applications.
Ensuring applications adhere to security policies and compliance regulations.
Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Managing relationships with third-party vendors who supply and support applications.
Evaluating and selecting new software vendors when necessary.
Providing training sessions and resources to help users effectively utilize applications.
Creating and maintaining documentation related to application use, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Leading and managing projects related to application development, implementation, and enhancement.
Coordinating with various departments to align application capabilities with business needs.
Managing the budget for application-related expenses.
Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising application quality or performance.
Developing long-term strategies for application portfolio management.
Staying informed about emerging technologies and trends to make recommendations for future application investments.
Working closely with IT teams, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure applications meet organizational goals.
Facilitating communication between technical teams and end-users.

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in computer engineering or a related field.
Experience working as a junior IT specialist.
Broad working knowledge of computer networking, installation, and administration.
Experience with database management and project management.

Excellent technical skills and experience in Insurance Industry is preferred.
Expertise in troubleshooting viruses and other computer problems.
The ability to remain up-to-date with the latest software developments.
Strong leadership, management, and customer service skills.
Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The ability to handle stressful situations.
