Responsibilities:
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Application Development
- Analyze the needs and requirements, plan and execute application-related bug fixings, enhancements, or new projects, including testing, provisioning, training and deployment of new solutions and applications.
- Document IT solutions and applications design and configuration and keep the documentation up to date for operational reference.
- Assist with user onboarding and training on new applications.
2. Application Support:
- Provide technical support to staff and students regarding the school's various applications, including learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and administrative software.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to application access, functionality, and performance.
- Manage access and permission to IT applications and ensure only authorized users have access to IT solutions and data.
3. Data Management:
- Manage and maintain the school's student data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Generate reports and data visualizations to support informed decision-making by school administration.
- Assist with data migration projects and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations.
4. System Administration & IT Support:
- Perform basic system administration tasks for applications and data storage systems, ensuring system uptime and availability.
- Install, configure, and maintain application software and related tools.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
- Provide IT support and solutions to end users within the school and provide AV support to teachers in classroom projection systems, Smart TVs and Audio Systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting (First Level) laptops and PCs. Analyses and recovers system when malfunction occurs or alerts the respective vendor for repair or replacement of affected parts if the item is under warranty.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Information Technology or such people as the School may designate
Qualifications:
The eligible candidate must have:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred).
- Good knowledge in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall in software development and project management.
- Past experience or exposure to applications and platforms, including school management solutions (e.g., PowerSchool, iSAMS, Firefly) and Microsoft Dynamics and Talend Data Integration Platform.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and potentially programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for more advanced data manipulation.
- Experience in integrating different platforms such as PowerShell, Phyton, .NET, Java, SQL Server Integration Services, and Reporting Services in an International school environment will be preferred.
