Main task
. Maintain and ensure accounting operations, financial reports and internal controls comply with applicable statutory standards.
. Ensure timely preparation & submission of monthly management reports and quarterly / semi-annual / annual audit reports.
. Establish strong accounting processes and periodically review and improve existing processes to ensure compliance.
. Manage compliance and timely reporting of Goods and Service Tax (GST) and other tax compliance matters.
. Facilitate and review on Company's financial planning process, budget and forecasting.
. Monitor and maintain healthy cash position of the Company.
. Grow and develop the finance team
Supplementary Tasks
. Facilitate on Company's consolidation closing process.
. Collaborate with other HODs to identify, measure and manage organizational risks for improve performance
. Other ad hoc duties / tasks / projects as assigned by the Management
. Efficiency: Timely delivery of reports, filings for tax and statutory purpose, and go-live business application(s), if any.
. Innovation: new idea or proposal to improve existing business process / accounting process.
Responsibilities
. Maintain and manage the day-to-day accounting operations within the Finance team and people from other functional department.
. Review the works of Accountants and Accounts Executive.
. Ensure timely closing of Company's accounts and compliance with all statutory / tax filing requirements.
. Facilitate and liaise with external auditors, tax agent and corporate secretariat on matters pertaining to accounts and taxation (GST and WHT).
. Support for budgeting and forecasting process.
. Contribute to ad-hoc projects assigned by Accounting Manager and Financial Controller.
Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent professional degree recognized by local Accounting body.
. More than 5 years working experience and knowledge in bookkeeping and accounting principles / standards.
. Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office applications
