Job scope:
. Prepare ingredients, handle baking and other kitchen equipment according to SOP to achieve consistency of food execution and food quality
. Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
. Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
. Kneading, cutting and dough shaping in order to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, breads, cookies or sweet rolls
. Bake different bread types, like pretzels, baguettes and multigrain breads
. Crafting and creating new and exciting baked pastries/ breads/ pastry
. Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machine and other baking equipment
. Mix various ingredients to create fillings for pastries, bread, cakes or pies
Require Skills/ Qualifications:
. Understanding of food safety practices
. Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
. Eye for detail during mix, proof, shape, and bake
. Possess passion in Baking & Pastry
. Experience with gluten free, refined sugar free and vegan baking a plus
. Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety precautions and regulation
. Experience with baking continental bread (sourdough, baguette, brioche, loafs, buns/rolls)
. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
. Ability to read and follow recipe
. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
