Job Description
- Assist in preparing and cooking traditional Korean dishes such as Kimchi, Bulgogi, Bibimbap, etc.
- Organize ingredients and prepare necessary kitchen tools and supplies.
- Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and kitchen staff to cook and plate dishes.
- Ensure food quality and hygiene are maintained throughout the cooking process.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and tools, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the kitchen after service to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Job Requirements
- Education: No formal culinary degree required, but relevant kitchen experience or training is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as an assistant cook, kitchen helper, or in a similar role is a plus, but not essential.
- Language Skills: Basic proficiency in English for effective communication in a multicultural team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 25kg) in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of Korean Cuisine: Basic knowledge of Korean food and ingredients is preferred, but training will be provided for passionate individuals.
- Hygiene Standards: Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations is required.
- Teamwork and Attitude: Must have a positive attitude, be able to work well in a team, and be willing to work during busy periods, including evenings and weekends.
- Work shift Able to commit on weekends and public holiday. Able to accept split shift.
