The Assistant Director/ Senior Manager will be responsible for the overall functions of the clinical governance of Tengah General and Community Hospitals. In this role, you shall oversee the review, management and implementation of relevant strategies, policies and procedures in in keeping with hospital and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance and accreditation.
Job Description:
- Support the hospital's Medical Lead Office by working closely with clinical teams (Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals) on establishing required frameworks for in areas of clinical governance, quality assurance, patient safety, continual improvement, and risk management.
- Design and formulate Clinical Governance Frameworks that will ensure accountability, uphold patient safety standards, and advance clinical quality in the Standards of Care;
- Manage clinical governance processes and providing guidance on setup and reporting by various medical affairs sub-committees.
- Ensure that the hospital meets MOH licensing requirements and MOH ESS Standards and oversee the hospital licensing application and process; manage internal audits, incident management and clinical quality records review.
- Coordinate and support credentialing of specific and core clinical privileges;
- Coordinate clinical quality activities and ensure that clinical forms and processes are in accordance to standards;
- Support clinicians training administratively and provide logistic support for in-house courses and workshops;
- Work closely with other divisions of Medical Affairs to ensure safe practices. Prepare papers for presentation at various Committees at hospital and cluster level; and
- Any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Life / Pharmaceutical Sciences, Healthcare Administration / Management, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing; or Occupational, Physio or Speech therapy.
- Preferably 3 to 4 years of healthcare experience. Postgraduates with less experience welcomed to apply.
- Experience in healthcare administration, clinical quality (e.g. JCI, LEAN, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Plan-Do-Check-Act, or other quality improvement methodologies) and / or risk management will be of added advantage.
- Good PC skills and proficient in MS Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
This position is under contractual basis, convertible to permanent employment.
