Our client, a higher education institute is currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join them as an Assistant Finance Manager (AR).
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to manage financial aid disbursement such as student loans, CPF, Mendaki, scholarship rolled out by schools / government agencies / funding agencies
- Oversee budget for financial Aid disbursement
- Oversee sponsorship management and billing
- Monitor debt collection for student loans and sponsorship
- In-charge of government agencies and funding agency claim's submission
- Liaise with banks and government agencies on the financial aid schemes
- Ensure all the disbursement transactions are prompt and accurate in financial system
- Ensure efficient processes, systems and adequate governance and controls are in place
- Ensure financial aid disbursement comply to the relevant policies and guidelines
- Oversee monthly, half-yearly and annual variance reporting
- Manage monthly balance sheet review reconciliations, year-end financial reporting, audit schedules etc.
- Communicates with funding agencies to resolve queries/address requests and concerns
- Assist in internal and external auditors queries
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accountancy
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (eg. Excel) and IT savvy with using different systems
- Knowledge of Power Query, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an added advantage
