Job Description

Our client is a leading commodities firm specialising in sustainability efforts. They are located in the West, and are a fast-growing SME expanding rapidly across the APAC region, with almost $500 million generated in revenue last year. They are deeply committed to environmental and socially conscious initiatives in various fields.

Job Summary:

As the Assistant General Manager, the candidate in this position will serve as the right hand of the CEO to ensure the smooth running of all business operations, liaising closely with various departments and teams including sales, office support, finance, and HR. As a vital point of contact and coordination across the organisation, you will be expected to have exceptional communication skills in both English and Mandarin, to liaise closely with stakeholders across APAC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration across various departments.
  • Manage office operations including all facilities and pantry management.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to meet business needs and optimise operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements, ensuring all logistical details are handled professionally.
  • Support financial and HR functions, assisting in budgeting, reporting, recruitment needs and performance reviews and management.
  • Contribute to business management initiatives and drive strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role, with a strong background in business management.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written, at a professional level will be highly advantageous to liaise with APAC offices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction across all levels.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and building strong professional relationships.
  • Sound sense of business acumen and ability to manage various levels of business operations.
