Job Description

Together with the Manager of Community Relations, this role involves leading the Community Relations team in the strategic planning and execution of Media & Communications, Fundraising & Strategic Partnerships, and Volunteer Management to boost the charitys visibility and impact within the community.

Strategic Partnerships and Fundraising

Cultivate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholder including our internal programme managers, board/sub-comm, foundations, corporates, government agencies, schools and interest groups.
Identify and pursue collaboration and partnership opportunities for the organisation.
Oversee and strategise the process of acquiring, managing and engaging donors and donations.
Lead the team to plan, coordinate, and execute special events, fundraisers, and community activities, spanning from online campaigns to gala events.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to source and apply for grant opportunities to secure funding for the charitys programmes and services.

Media and Communications

Responsible for all corporate communication, branding and marketing efforts, ensuring that it aligns with the vision and mission of Epworth.
Lead the team in all online and offline communications of Epworth, including content development and managing multiple communication channels, including newsletter, annual report, website and social media.
Be involved in the organisations crisis communications initiatives and plans.

Volunteer Management

Oversee the work of recruitment, training, placement, and retention of volunteers.
Develop and oversee implementation of volunteer programmes that align with the organizations goals and mission, ensuring a positive experience for both volunteers and the communities Epworth serves.

Requirements:


Degree in Marketing/ Communications or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in relevant digital communication tools and platforms.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills, resourceful, adaptable, highly motivated, creative and positive
Strong project/event management and facilitation skills, able to establish effective structures and systems
Keen attention to detail
Required to work on weekends/ evenings occasionally
