DESIGNATION : Assistant Manager (Gift of Gardens)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Gardens by the Bay is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to lead our Gift of Gardens Programme. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to create an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for all members of our community. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for forming partnerships with charities, conducting outreach activities, organizing events, and leading fundraising efforts to support underprivileged communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Development
Promote Gardens by the Bay as the People's Garden by fostering a sense of community and belonging among participants through engaging and inclusive activities.
Develop and implement new programs and initiatives to address emerging community needs and interests.
Manage the processing of conservatory tickets and Transport and meal subsidies for Social Service Agencies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for community partners, promptly addressing their needs and concerns.
Seek and integrate feedback from GoG participants, partners, GB Volunteers to continuously improve program offerings.
Stay informed about best practices in community outreach and incorporate them into the GoG programs.
- Event Organization
Plan, organize, and manage events targeting seniors, persons with special needs, and other underprivileged communities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, venue setup, and participant coordination.
Ensure events are accessible, inclusive, and tailored to the target audience's needs.
- Partnership Development
Identify and establish strategic partnerships with national agencies, social service agencies, and community groups.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and mutual support.
Negotiate and formalize partnership agreements, managing the partnership lifecycle to maximize impact.
- Volunteer Management
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support community outreach activities.
Provide guidance and support to volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and impactful experience.
Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions to the gardens and the community.
- Fundraising Activities
Plan and execute fundraising activities/campaigns to support the Gift of Gardens Programme and related initiatives.
Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet financial goals.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community supporters.
Prepare and submit fundraising proposals, grant applications, and reports.
- Reporting and Evaluation
Track and report on outreach activities, partnerships, event outcomes, and fundraising efforts.
Analyse data to assess the Gift of Gardens & GB Volunteer Programme's impact and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Management, Marketing or a related field.
Proven experience in managing community outreach programs, preferably within a CSR context.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
Experience in fundraising and volunteer management.
