Job Description
This position is responsible for sustaining operations of the existing network of lockers and kiosks (eSAM, POPStation, Parcel Santa, coming new PopDrop).
The role will focus on daily management of 10-man technical team to support and maintain the lockers and kiosks across the island. You will be responsible to drive the lockers availability and maintenance cost of the existing network of lockers and kiosks.
You will be working with software & networks teams, operations team and business owners to implement/maintain projects/current systems to meet business goals. You will help SingPost to grow its business by contributing and alignment to innovate, increase speed of delivery and maintain high level of lockers availability.
Spare Parts Inventory Management
Ensure Monthly/ad-hoc stock take of random parts for accuracy, perform investigation for any discrepancies & recommend solutions.
Perform Annual inventory check of all parts with Parts Controller/Engineer to ensure inventory accuracy is above 99%.
Manage and report all maintenance and headcount cost to meet business requirement.
Introduce automation to alert Technical Officer to act on reorder thresholds, to provide a simple dashboard view of stock level of critical/fast moving parts and to generate parts consumption report.
Proactive Maintenance of Kiosk
Plan Replacement of ageing hardware ( rule of thumb is more than 5 years ) to reduce potential future slack in kiosk availability.
Plan refurbishment of bad external appearance of kiosks to uphold branding of kiosk and image of SingPost.
Alternative sourcing for EOL hardware to ensure longer sustainability of kiosk system.
Kiosk team management
Formulate an agile manpower structure to meet adhoc/short term support demand
Set clear team goals. Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
Motivate team members.
Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
Regular ad-hoc monitoring of CA tickets, dashboards; etc to drive the important message of availability to engineers
In charge of the team competency skills identification/ review and build training plan to ensure the team development of competency to meet the future demands of business plan.
Stakeholder management
Organise regular meetings to monitor lockers availability performance and PM compliance and track progress of joint initiatives.
Ensure continuity and effective communications in the stakeholder engagement plan.
Assess current process and introduce process improvements where feasible.
Understand software aspects of the differing kiosk system to promote opportunity for enhancement.
Locker Sustaining Management
Streamline/change of current work processes for productivity. Drive standardization of best practice processes across all channels/touchpoints to ensure systems and processes are streamlined and efficient.
Manage backend support team activities ( such as tablet/PC setup, printers/weighing scale configuration, routers setups; etc )
Work Safety & Health Management
Part of the key member in Engineering department safety committee to drive safety awareness and initiatives to ensure zero-work accidents.
Introduce action plans to reinforce WSH culture into team.
Ensure that the team is compliant to the safety rules and regulations. (chemical management, first aid management, PPE management and safety training).
Requirements
Knowledge of automation, parts inventory mgmt and locker manufacturing process is preferred.
