- Seeks and prospects for high value target accounts to win new customers generally in the 100k - 500k range net sales per annum focusing bringing new customers on board.
- Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer's business and the market
- Assesses the type and size of customer needs and recommends solutions based on these needs by using industry knowledge
- Closes business connecting a customer need with a customised solution and the value it may create for the customers
- Gathers customer and market information to update product and trade lane on current conditions
- Supports customer retention by conducting joints visits with Product, TL and organizing workshops inviting customers to share information on updated regulations, products, etc.
- Ensures successful retention of customers by maintaining close liaison with them, ascertaining their satisfaction level via company service standards and to anticipate and/or prevent potential problems.
- Uses networks within the various Sales channels within organization to collaborate on customers, marketing strategies and offers a full supply chain of services to service customer needs.
- Provides forecast in relation to opportunities & pipelines using corporate CRM.
- Engages pro-actively with Product to resolve commercial / operational issues.
- Collects relevant customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ and prepare documents for customer implementation in order to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations (SLA's & SOP's).
- Performs any other duties assigned by immediate superior
Requirements:
- Proven track record in developing and growing business with assigned portfolio of customers through RFQ, customised solutions selling
- Good understanding of sector trends in the freight forwarding industry
- Able to identify customer needs by gathering information and building long-term relationships through value creation
- Well developed communication and presentation skills
- Diploma/ degree with more than 3 years of relevant working experience in a MNC environment
