Work with team to develop investment strategies and asset allocation recommendations.
Perform top-down sector analysis to understand industry specific drivers, assess competitive landscape, evaluate opportunities and risks.
Perform bottom-up selection through detailed analysis of investment opportunities in public equities, special situations, start-ups, and fund managers.
Develop/maintain financial models to derive valuation and ascertain drivers of returns
Prepare succinct investment memos and presentations to internal stakeholders.
Drive transaction execution, including negotiating and reviewing of legal documents alongside legal team
Potentially assist in wider group initiatives, such as divestures and/or investments from an operating/strategic perspective
Stay abreast of portfolio company specific developments, market trends, and regulatory changes that may affect investment portfolio.
Assist with ongoing internal portfolio reporting needs.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Candidates with relevant experience will be given consideration regardless of field of study.
5-8 years of experience in areas demonstrating research (ie., equity research) or transactional/advisory experience (ie., PE/VC, investment banking, consulting, business development)
Analytical mind and willingness to multi-task
Detail-oriented with a passion for learning
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in corporate finance concepts
Familiarity in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
