NEA's HR Strategy and Development Department (HRSDD) designs and implements plans to develop a future-ready workforce through researching, planning and implementing long-term HR strategies. The department works on growing the leadership and specialist pipelines, facilitating career planning, deepening leadership and workforce skills, ensuring equitable compensation, as well as rewarding and recognising for performance.
Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager/ Manager in HRSDD, you will be involved in building NEA's talent pipeline through the planning and management of our talent management initiatives. You will be responsible for the following:
- Have a sound understanding of how the organisation's talent management strategy complements whole-of-government talent management strategy.
- Conduct proactive talent identification and development by managing the Singapore Sustainability Scholarship (SSS) and internships programmes, including promoting the scholarship programmes at scholarship fairs, selection and assessment exercises.
- Review, develop and operationalise policies for NEA in-service postgraduate scholarship and sponsorships schemes to support continuous development of staff.
- Ensure all-rounded development of talent pool, including scholarship holders, through the planning, nomination, appointment and engagement of high potential officers and facilitation of developmental opportunities.
- Engage and equip line managers and senior management with necessary skills and knowledge to engage and mentor talent.
- Management of scholarship matters for studying and working scholars which includes scholarships related budget and expenditures, legal agreements, etc.
- Oversee the operational needs for talent management initiatives using the Workday system.
- Provide secretariat support to management committees.
The job might be for you if you possess the following:
- 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience, prior working experience in Human Resource would be an advantage.
- Has a keen interest to work with young scholarship holders.
- Ability to think on your feet and work independently.
- Good writing and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organised, meticulous with an eye for detail.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
