We are seeking dynamic professionals to join us to facilitate Singapore companies on their internationalisation journey to the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. You will be part of the International Business Division (IBD) in Singapore Business Federation (SBF) to help Singapore companies Learn, Land and Localise overseas.
This role will be responsible for linking Singapore companies with their foreign counterparts in the region covered, through market outreach activities and institutionalised platforms such as bilateral business councils, business working groups and incoming/outgoing business missions. You will also be part of the secretariat for multilateral business council and SBF committees comprising senior business leaders, and assist the Singapore business community to build relationship, market knowledge and collaborations with government officials, trade associations and companies in the key sectors of focus for Singapore companies.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage Singapore companies to understand their international growth plans and assist in making appropriate introductions to potential overseas counterparts and facilitate discussions
- Plan and organise activities aimed at building awareness of portfolio markets, the activities include, but are not limited to: Symposiums, Business Forums, Roundtables, Seminars/Webinars, Workshops, and incoming/outgoing Business Missions
- Curate and plan activities to drive market awareness and sectoral opportunities for Singapore companies in the overseas markets
- Identify and cultivate relationships with local and overseas market entry partners to build SBF's eco-system to strengthen our capabilities and knowledge in the overseas markets, and access to local network
- Provide secretariat support, including proposing agenda, drafting meeting briefs and talking points for senior Singapore business leaders and SBF management for multilateral and bilateral business councils and business groups meetings, in engagements and meetings with foreign business chambers and business counterparts
Job Requirements
- Preferably 2-3 years of relevant experience in international business development or corporate secretariat support for Southeast Asia markets.
- Good writing skills to draft concise meeting briefs, talking points and notes of meetings
- Ability to research and understand situational factors impacting internationalising businesses such as political issues, social developments, and environmental concerns
- Self-starter, inquisitive and able to multitask
- Adept in dealing with uncertainties in a fast-paced environment
- Respectful of cultural, political, and socio-economic differences and diversity, and effectively engage senior internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills to set priorities and meet goals
- Good team player who can work across departments and support other colleagues in the relevant work streams
