As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a young professional intern to join and contribute to the continued development of our highly regarded research team and the further success of a world-leading shipbroking house on a professional internship.
The successful candidate will be based at our office in Singapore. Duration of Internship will be around 6 months.

Assistant Market Research Analyst (Internship)
Role Description
The executive role will be part of our in-house market research arm that provides freight market analysis and actionable intelligence to the other business units (ship broking, S&P and finance) and their clients.
Tasks and responsibilities:
. Play an active role in further developing and automating routines, procedures used for processing various type of market-related data
. Develop recognized expertise in specific commodity (minor bulks, specifically) and shipping markets
. Conduct fact-based research and analysis to support the production of actionable intelligence
. Keep track of the latest market developments, develop price views and provide related communication and recommendations to commercial teams
. Assist with publication of research commentaries and other studies and presentations
. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Profile - qualifications and capabilities:
. Any degree with strong interest in Commodity and/or Freight Analysis is welcome
. Passion in numerical/data analysis
. Basic MS Excel proficiency, soft programming (e.g. VBA & SQL, shell scripting) and databases skills (e.g. Access or mySQL)
. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders
. Enjoy working in a small knitted team and able to perform under pressure
. Independent and self-motivated, highly reliable and readiness to take on responsibility
. Fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages a plus
