Role Overview
As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing and driving the business for our luxury men's leather goods category. You will support the development and execution of merchandising strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure our products meet market needs and sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Management:
- Assist in managing the Men's Leather Goods category, including product assortment planning and execution across all regions.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the business in South Asia, including market analysis, showroom management, and commercial actions.
- Coordinate special orders, events, and collaborations for the Men's Leather Goods category.
- Prepare and deliver sales analyses and forecasts to identify future sales opportunities and trends.
Commercial Follow-Up:
- Support the Merchandising Manager with daily and weekly reports.
- Collaborate with store teams to understand market needs and achieve sales targets.
- Participate in buying trips and assist in product selection for stores.
- Explore market potential in South Asia, gaining insights into specific market needs and preferences.
- Act as a liaison between the South Asia region and the headquarters in Paris.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Retail, Digital, and Central teams to maximize the impact of new product launches.
- Develop and implement action plans to optimize stock levels and sell-through rates.
- Arrange stock for new store openings, retail events, and CRM activities.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly reports using strong analytical skills.
- Stay updated on market and competitor trends in men's leather goods.
Systems and Tools:
- Utilize major sales data programs to analyze data and draw actionable conclusions in Microsoft Excel.
- Use the Buying & Clustering Tool to make strategic decisions on product quantities and assortment.
Supply Chain and Logistics:
- Work closely with the Supply Chain & Logistics Department to ensure efficient distribution.
- Maintain communication with stores to gather feedback and understand product requirements.
PR and CRM:
- Provide relevant commercial information to enhance sales efforts.
- Coordinate and follow up on CRM events with country teams.
- Collaborate with digital counterparts to ensure successful online product launches.
Visual Merchandising:
- Work with the Visual Merchandising team to enhance the presentation of men's leather goods in line with launch plans, sales objectives, and store guidelines.
Training:
- Develop training tools and organize training sessions based on new product launches and market needs.
- Inspire and educate store teams about men's leather goods, promoting cross-selling with other categories.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Previous experience in merchandising, preferably within the luxury fashion industry.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with sales data analysis tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for luxury fashion and a keen understanding of market trends.
