Job Description

Supervise and guide newly recruited / graduated nurses and student nurses
Coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate ward / unit training needs and activities
Assist the Nurse Manager / Nurse Clinician in implementation, assessment and evaluation of nurses competencies
Foster sound professional collegial relationship with Medical, Allied Health and Nursing team, patients and public
Conduct ward / unit orientation and induction for newly recruited / graduated nurses
Nurture nurses clinical competencies progression through mentoring and role modelling
Collaborate with the Nursing Education department in planning, implementing and evaluation of competency based education and training
Participate in Nursing Quality related projects
Role model the desired team and leadership behaviours
Perform other assigned duties
Diploma in Nursing/Degree Qualification
Post Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing
Registered with Singapore Nursing Board
At least 5 years nursing experience in specialty area (essential)
Experience as a preceptor/clinical nurse educator preferred
Desired leadership behavior demonstrated
Coaching and mentoring ability
Knowledge of current trends in nursing practice
