What You'll Do
- Safeguard the Group's strategic and commercial interests in its SP Services and district cooling businesses and other unregulated/commercial projects
- Lead market research on regulatory policies and analyse regulatory developments in local and overseas markets
- Prepare financial models, papers and presentations to SP Management and Board for update and to seek approval
- Update and present key issues to SP Management and Board
- Lead revenue and tariff scenario analysis, commercial review and risk assessment
- Lead special projects and other initiatives
- Maintain watching brief on regulatory policies and developments
- Formulate and articulate the Group's positions on regulatory policies by responding to public and industry consultations
- Support business owners in their engagement with the regulator
- Support SP in multi-agency studies and special projects
- Monitor and ensure timely completion of project deliverables
- Prepare fortnightly/monthly update reports on Regulatory Management activities
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members in the team
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university
- Preferably 7 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a utility or infrastructure industry, with some background in regulation, would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong sense of business and commercial acumen with good initiative as a self-starter
- Excellent communication and business writing skills
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, some familiarity with programming tools, SQL and Power BI would be preferred
