Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies for engineering spare parts to meet the needs of the maritime port industry.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, and establish contracts to ensure favorable pricing and reliable delivery.
Monitor inventory levels of engineering spare parts to ensure availability while minimizing excess stock.
Coordinate with the inventory team to optimize stock levels based on demand forecasts and historical usage.
Oversee the ordering process for engineering spare parts, including creating purchase orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment, such as discrepancies or delays.
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to control expenditure.
Prepare and present cost reports and budget forecasts to senior management.
Work closely with engineering teams to understand spare parts requirements and address any technical or operational needs
Evaluate the quality of spare parts received and address any issues related to defects or non-compliance with specifications.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in sourcing and procurement
