Our Client is in the Industrial Manufacturing Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an Assistant Procurement Manager to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze spending data to support sourcing strategies and annual procurement planning/development.
- Research supply markets, vendors, and products to inform procurement decisions.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and optimize procurement processes.
- Implement group procurement strategies and policies in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct tender exercises in compliance with policies and make recommendations to the Tender Committee.
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor procurement spending and industry trends to inform purchasing decisions.
- Oversee strategic supplier performance and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Assess and audit suppliers for compliance with ethical, social, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate responsible sourcing practices.
- Evaluate and improve procurement systems to address inefficiencies and enhance usability.
- Lead or participate in projects to implement new tools and streamline procurement operations.
- All other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Supply Chain / Business Management or other related field of studies.
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience.
- Good communication and negotiation skills
