About the Role

The Assistant Product & Sales Planning Manager, reporting to the Head of Department, is responsible for the product portfolio of CUPRA, and internal alignment with various departments on the market offer.

She/He will develop and provide product positioning strategies and establish offer structures tailored to the Singapore market, taking key competitor products and customer insights into consideration; establish market derived pricing based on transacted price, tracking of competitor products and update relevant departments on competitor launches.

Additionally, Assistant Manager is responsible to exercise and ensure the overall new vehicle supply for the CUPRA brand, develop the medium and long-term local sales plan, manage the import and wholesales functions of Volkswagen Group Singapore, and as well ensuring timely submission of production orders and rolling plan to headquarters.

She/He will be the main contact point for the CUPRA Area Sales Manager on the day to day operational and strategic topics in terms of Product and Pricing, Volume Planning and Ordering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and propose product strategy, derive market-oriented pricing strategy
  • Supervise sales forecast, short-term sales rolling plans
  • Realize the operational wholesale activities of new vehicle inventory management & ordering
  • Initiate process of obtaining homologation and customs product code approval for new vehicles
  • Lead the market research
  • Responsible for the Sales Reporting to all Stakeholders
  • Key contact person for product related enquiries, organise and drive internal product briefings
  • Prepare regular business review meetings and support MD's Office with ad hoc requests
  • Support the Head of Department on all other product-related topics

Requirements

  • Degree in Business / Finance / Statistics or its equivalent
  • 3-5 years of working experience in market analysis / research, preferably in automotive industry
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Good command in both written and spoken English, proficiency in Spanish will be an added advantage (to interact with CUPRA HQ)
  • Proficient in MS Office with strong knowledge on MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Sound knowledge of Singapore automotive market
  • Possess a valid Class 3 Driving License
  • Able to start work by end December 2024/early January 2025
