Job Overview:
- The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning and executing IT hardware projects. Key responsibilities include identifying project needs, organizing project activities, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate team activities and ensure smooth project execution.
- Perform administrative tasks such as tracking project milestones, maintaining deliverables, and preparing documents (e.g., Project Plans, Timelines, SOW, acceptance certificates).
- Organize meetings and prepare materials (reports, agendas, etc.).
- Lead projects from planning to deployment, managing schedules and risk mitigation.
- Engage vendors and manage project implementation and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project stays on track.
- Analyze project progress, adapt scope and timelines as needed, and report outcomes or risks.
- Maintain client relationships and provide regular updates on project status.
- Assist with tender submissions, project planning, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Infocomm Technology or Information Technology.
- Min 5 years of IT project management experience, particularly in planning scope and timelines.
- Experienced in all phases of IT hardware project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Skilled in drafting and updating key documents like SOW, project plans, and acceptance tests.
- Experience in managing mid-to-large scale projects through all lifecycle phases.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical knowledge in IT hardware (servers, switches, software).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and work within budget.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- G50 clearance required.
