Assistant QC Chemist [Redhill / Gas Chromatography / FMCG]

Responsibilities

• Perform routine daily testing on In-Process Products, Finished Products, and raw materials, and provide test results reports.
• Ensure all laboratory testing equipment, instruments, and sampling tools are clean, dry, and suitable for use.
• Confirm that all required tests are executed according to their respective procedures.
• Help maintain the QC Laboratory, premises, and equipment in optimal condition at all times.
• Ensure retention samples are correctly labeled and stored under specified conditions according to standard procedures.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practice in all tasks.
• Conduct housekeeping tasks in the laboratory.
• Purchase laboratory chemicals and consumables.
• Assist in Packaging materials testing when the other Assistant Chemist is unavailable.
• Perform other duties as assigned occasionally.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the FMCG/Manufacturing industry.
• Experience in quantitative analysis using chromatographic techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Independent, self-motivated with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
