The Employer:
Join a new and exciting Japanese dining concept in the lively Boat Quay area. We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager who is passionate about hospitality and eager to lead a team in creating exceptional dining experiences.
Our commitment to excellence extends to providing a comprehensive training program in Japan, offering our team leaders firsthand experience with authentic Japanese culinary and service techniques.
Work Schedule: 5 days per week with split shifts
Training: 1-2 weeks in Japan provided by the company
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal staffing levels.
Interview, hire, and conduct comprehensive training for part-time and full-time staff, aiming to maintain high service standards
Lead staff training sessions to ensure team proficiency in restaurant protocols and customer service excellence.
Ensure a warm welcome and deliver excellent service, creating memorable experiences for our customers.
Serve food and beverages with an emphasis on promptness and quality of presentation.
Efficiently handle customer transactions and address inquiries regarding the menu, services, and promotions.
Participate in simple cooking tasks, with thorough training provided by management.
Oversee additional responsibilities such as ordering supplies, and managing the serving, clearing, and setting of tables.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in F&B service, with preference for those who have held managerial or supervisory roles.
Approachable personality with a friendly demeanor and a strong willingness to learn and advance within the company.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Outstanding communication skills in English.
Previous experience in restaurant management (e.g., shift management, floor management, inventory management) is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in staff management, including aspects of training and scheduling.
