Assistant Store Manager
Work Timing: 10am -7pm / 11am - 8pm / 12am - 9pm
Location: Ion Orchard
Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in developing and executing plans to achieve brand, sales, and service goals.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the store's financial performance and collaborate with management to achieve budgetary goals.
- Support customer relationship-building and satisfaction, oversee merchandising and visual standards, implement service recovery strategies, and ensure smooth daily retail operations.
- Supervise, train, and support the development of team members in areas such as customer service, sales, and visual merchandising.
- Help manage inventory levels, stocking, and purchasing plans to support efficient store operations and sales targets.
- Monitor and control all operational cost to support store profitability.
- Work closely with the back-of-house team, including Marketing, to ensure cohesive store operations and successful campaigns.
- Support research and development of market opportunities, including tracking market trends and identifying growth areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store for customers.
- Assist in the hiring and training of staff to maintain a skilled team and deliver outstanding customer service.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Management or degree in any field.
- 2 - 4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant managerial role, ideally within furniture or home decor.
- Experienced in supporting sales targets and strategic planning, with expertise in both B2B and B2C environments.
- Strong customer-focused approach, with great interpersonal skills.
- An engaging and motivational team builder.
- Sound knowledge of retail management practices and procedures.
