DESIGNATION : Assistant Subtitling Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
To fulfil all workflow and on-air subtitling requirements, ensuring the smooth running of subtitling operations and timely output of Tamil and English subtitles for our Indian Channel, Vasantham.
Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of subtitles for broadcast on-air and digital platforms.
Perform QC on the subtitle files to ensure they meet the broadcast standards.
Able to utilize subtitling software competently to edit, and timecode subtitles with accuracy.
Provide support to supervisor for key projects when called upon.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least a Bachelor's degree.
3 years of working experience in Broadcast industry is preferred
Experience in Tamil language and operations related experience is an advantage
Understand the Tamil language very well and is be able to read, write and type out Tamil with good accuracy.
Able to translate Tamil into English with good accuracy.
Demonstrates good grammar, sentence structures, awareness of nuances, colloquialisms and possess good knowledge of local languages.
Proven track record in operational work
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Negotiation and influencing skills in working with the various internal units and vendors.
Able to take on challenging situations and provide solutions to problems.
Proven experience in maintaining quality output of subtitles.
A dynamic and driven individual who is able to translate directives into actionable plans and drive accountability for the job scope.
Able to provide clear directions to drive the team to meet the unit objectives.
Proven track record in subtitling operations and some supervision of staff.
