Assist teachers in preparing and carrying out lesson plans, i.e. setting up materials, and ensuring children stay on task.
Assist teachers in providing individualizes support to children who need extra help, including one-on-one guidance and small group instruction.
Assist teachers to help maintain classroom discipline by enforcing rules and implementing behavior management strategies.
Assist teachers in providing input for bi-annual assessment of children's development through observations, and other assessment tools, and help in preparing progress reports.
Handle administrative duties such as taking attendance, maintaining student records, and managing classroom supplies, i.e. sanitizer, tissue papers.
Help to create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
Ensure the classroom is safe and clean.
Assist teachers during school programmes, fields trips, and activities.
Train children to observe good hygiene practices.
Change diapers, shower children, and train young children in toileting.
Feed children meals and encourage them to drink water.
Job Requirements
Fundamentals Certificate in early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE).
Preferably with experience in handling young children.
