Reporting to the Business Development Management, we are currently looking for an
Assistant Tender Manager or
Lead Estimator to join our rapidly growing team.
This is a full-time on-site role in Singapore. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to managing tender submissions, estimating costs, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of bids.
The role will extend to post contract administration, which requires working closely with our project managers on matters related to project cost monitoring, progress certification for claims and payment, variation claims and final account settlement, as well as our design team (based in Sydney, Australia) for any cost built-up related requirements.
- Responsibilities & Qualifications
Work closely with the Business Development Management to materialise opportunities.
Assistance to the Design and MEP Departments to finalise quantity estimates and procurement requirements.
Experience in tender management, cost estimation, and procurement
Knowledge of construction industry practices and materials
Estimating knowledge relating to Architectural; Civil; Structural, and MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire) trades
Experienced in multiple contract forms including producing net cost build-ups, fixed cost, cost plus, design and build and cost reimbursable contracts.
Review and identifying and quantifying risks in a tender.
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Source suitable suppliers appropriate to project location. Establish and build contacts within the subcontractor and supplier market. Those with a network of proven and competitive suppliers and vendors with regional track record will be a strong value-add
Interface with global locations to support estimates as appropriate, their processes, documentation standardisation, and structure.
Prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for awarded projects
Reads and interprets project scopes of work and works with project and task leads to determine project needs
Ability to proficiently converse in English and Mandarin is essential based on our target markets
Proficiency in CCS Candy, MS Excel, Cubicost, Bluebeam, Autocad etc.
Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations
Ability to prioritise work and meet given deadlines
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field with at least 5 years in such capacity
Those without degrees but possess relevant diploma(s) and at least 8 10 years of proven and successful experience may apply
