Global Strategic Travel Retail (GSTR) is the channel where Campari Group showcases its key international brands. The GSTR team partners key GTR channel customers worldwide (serving airports, cruises, airlines, military, diplomatic and border shops) with the aim to maximize core Campari Group brands visibility and awareness and strengthen their international development.
The role of GSTR, based within Group HQ in Milan, is to set the highest possible example of bringing Campari Groups brands strategy to life, globalising the core brand portfolio whilst amplifying both global and local brand strategy. As such GSTR operates as both a business unit, responsible for financial target delivery through its P&L, but also as a strategic investment channel acting as part of the marketing mix for the global brands.
The GSTR Channel & Customer Marketing Jr. Manager reports to the Regional Channel & Customer Marketing Manager APAC and is part of team of 30.
The mission of the role is to ensure the development and successful execution of channel & customer marketing activities within the Global Strategic Travel Retail Channel, with focus on the Cognac category.
Key Responsibilities & Activities
- Best in Class Execution: Develops and ensures execution of brand related permanent visibility activities and temporarily on site promotions with focus on Cognac category:
Guides agency partners to create or adapt artworks to bring concept to life
Liaises with internal logistics & customer service to order and ensure delivery of materials (e.g. POS,GWP, special packs, etc.)
drafts promotional reports including promotion evaluation summar
- Events Organization: Coordinates the organization of trade shows: creates possible booth designs working with appointed agencies when necessary; selects artworks for booths; selects and takes care of the logistics of display products/items
- Training: Provides training to sales staff in the outlets: develops and keeps alive interactive brand training & education presentations; develops simple brand guides for the outlet staff; is the Champion on key GTR channel/brand, but is also able to present and train across whole portfolio;
- Industry Analysis: Collect data on the category, on competitors and own-brand trends in GTR, covering pricing, volumes, trends and innovation activities with the objective to grow the Cognac segment.
- Internal reporting and data collection: Integrate with yearly data the brand plans (provided by Marketing) to check progress against annual plan. Elaborate reports of key activities including tracking of depletions, permanent visibility, price and listings, plus the consolidation of the annual promotional calendar.
- Budget Management: Supports the CCM Manager on budget tracking and budget management of specific projects.

Internal: GSTR CCM & Marketing Team, GSTR Regional Managers, Area Director GSTR, Partnership Markets Demand Manager, Sales Support Specialists and Logistics & Customer Service;
External: Business partners/customers, advertising agencies and outlet staff.
Experience & Education
2-3 years experience in Channel & Customer Marketing/ Trade Marketing
Global Travel Retail Channel experience is a strong plus
Cognac Industry experience is a strong plus
Degree in Business Administration, with major in Marketing
