Position Overview
A member of the Hybrid team to assist in business development in Singapore and creating new propositions on hybrid reinsurance solutions with clients, as well as working closely with internal stakeholders (Pricing, Valuation, Finance, Underwriting and GFS) on structuring, pricing, modeling, risk analysis and other related activities.
Responsibilities
Establish strong working relationships with clients and proactively manage client requests.
Work with clients to understand issues and develop potential solutions with a focus on hybrid reinsurance.
Assist in the pricing, modeling, risk analysis, and structuring activities on new or proposed solutions and present technical aspects both internally and externally.
Assist in risk management and operations personnel with monitoring experience of in-force treaties.
Perform research and analyze latest marketing/product trends in the Singapore market and present results internally and externally.
Support Head of Hybrid Solutions on other business matters and tasks as and when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related disciplines
FIA qualification or equivalent; high calibre candidates who are making good progress to being fully qualified will also be considered
5-10 years experience in a life insurance (including but not limited to Product Development, Product Pricing etc.), insurance consulting or reinsurance company, experience in product development or pricing will be an advantage
Highly organized, solutions focused and delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others
Strong client services ability with excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Strong project management skills and ability to partner with internal & external stakeholders in a collaborative manner
Strong critical and innovative thinking, with the ability to develop business insights
