The Traffic Development practice sits within the International Projects Department, supporting investment due diligence, asset management and third-party consulting with traffic analysis, data analytics, and economic modelling. The team tackles a range of aviation-centred tasks, ranging from airline marketing to developing a traffic forecast for CAI assets and external client airports.
As part of the team, you will play an important role in providing traffic-related consulting services to client investors as part of bid/transaction advisory support, and to client airports, with the aim of growing their passenger and cargo traffic. By nature of our business, you will receive significant international exposure working with a diverse set of projects, partners, public and private stakeholders and clients.
You will have the opportunity to engage cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial, Engineering and Asset Management colleagues in delivery of their work. Alongside strong quantitative abilities, you should also have strong written/verbal communication and technical project management skills.
Responsibilities:
Your main role would involve providing Traffic Development consultancy services for clients:
- Assess the traffic development potential for target airports
- Come up with strategies to grow passenger/cargo traffic and aeronautical revenues for client airports
- Execute innovative and effective airline / industry marketing strategies
- Build business cases for airline network planners
- Work with industry, economic development and tourism authorities to drive growth of passenger and cargo traffic within identified target air service markets
While you would be focusing more on cargo-related initiatives, you may need to undertake passenger-related projects, should clients require advice in this area.
You would also be involved in Asset & Project Management and Business Development work
- Perform a monthly review of asset and client airports operations and preparation of related materials
- Provide advisory on Traffic Development matters on various projects and Business Development, as part of integrated consultancy solutioning
- Provide review of Traffic Development and related budgetary matters for asset and client airports
- Handle other projects and Traffic Development Practice related duties as assigned
- Lead Business Development initiatives and take on project management roles, where necessary
Requirement:
- At least a 2nd Upper Honours degree or its equivalent
- At least 5 years of related work experience in an airport traffic development role, or an airline network planning or revenue management role. Candidates with relevant experience in the Air Cargo Industry are preferred
- Possessing one or more of the following skills/experiences will be advantageous:Aviation policy / air traffic rights negotiations
Conceptualising marketing campaigns / digital / social media marketing
Cargo operations, including handling and clearance
Cargo zone planning, requirements for specialised cargo facilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to utilise various analytical/productivity tools
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (whether through face to face or video presentations, reports and papers, presentation decks, etc)
- Able to travel overseas for work is a given.
- Able to conduct fieldwork onsite, as required.
