About This Role

We are seeking a talented and driven AD of Marketing & Business Development to join our Central Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding the multi-brand, and multi-product nature of the company, learn the ropes of the business vertical and product offerings assigned to them and thereby develop and execute marketing strategies that drive the adoption, growth and sales of our products. You will work closely with the product development, sales, and marketing teams to understand our products, target market, and competitive landscape, and translate that knowledge into compelling marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Based in Global HQ, Singapore

Ownership, Accountability & Pressure: In a global HQ like Singapore, the Ad of Marketing & Business Development is held directly accountable for the success or failure of global campaigns. You must be able to operate under high visibility and scrutiny from senior leadership, making your impact critical to the company's overall performance. You must also be able to understand the speed at which global HQs operate and be similarly agile. You are the ones who turn decisions into actions almost instantaneously, giving the company a competitive edge in fast-paced markets.

Real Time Problem Solving: Singapore's HQ is often the nerve centre where global crises, major pivots, and business recalibrations happen. The AD of Marketing & Business Development based here must address issues immediately as they arise and pivot marketing strategies on the fly.

Overall, with the close proximity to leadership, you will be in a prime position to leverage direct access to executive decision-making, taking full advantage of this strategic location to influence company direction as it relates to the K12 business vertical.

What You Will Be Doing

What You Will Execute On A Day To Day Basis:

Day-to-day tasks involve the tactical and operational aspects of your role. These are immediate actions that keep the marketing engine running smoothly and contribute to immediate goals. These tasks are hands-on and typically focus on creating and managing ongoing campaigns and product promotions.

  • Campaign Management: You will oversee the execution of live marketing campaigns, ensuring all assets (ads, emails, social posts) are delivered on time and performing optimally for the desired business success metrics.
  • Collaboration with Teams: You will work closely with sales, design, content, product, and engineering teams to align messaging, product updates, and marketing activities.
  • Market Research: You will conduct routine research to understand competitor movements, consumer feedback, and market trends, and feeding that information into daily decisions.
  • Content Review and Creation: You will revie blog posts, social media content, product pages, or writing product descriptions and email marketing copy to support campaigns.
  • Performance Tracking: You will monitor KPIs like website traffic, conversion rates, and customer engagement to assess the effectiveness of ongoing efforts. Adjustments may be made to tactics based on performance data.
  • Customer Interaction: You will handle customer engagement events and strategies, conduct surveys, or engage with users on social media to gain insights into their preferences and needs.

What You Will Lead, Strategize & Develop On A Regular Basis:


Strategic execution focuses on near-term, goals, vision, and the overall positioning of the product in the market. It involves high-level planning, future-focused decisions, and aligning product marketing efforts with the company's broader objectives.

  • Revenue Growth: You will create effective marketing strategies and campaigns to boost product sales, leading to increased revenue.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy (GTM): You will develop comprehensive product launch strategies that consider market timing, messaging, pricing strategy, and distribution. This includes planning multi-phase campaigns months in advance.
  • Positioning and Messaging: You will define the product's unique value proposition and ensuring all marketing efforts communicate consistent, powerful messaging across channels to differentiate it from competitors.
  • Market Expansion: You will identify new market opportunities, audiences, or regions where the product can be introduced or expanded and formulate strategies to penetrate these markets.
  • Budget and Resource Allocation: You will make decisions about where to allocate marketing resources (budget, talent, tools) to ensure long-term campaign success and highest ROI.
  • Brand Building: You will shape how the product fits into the larger company brand and aligning marketing strategies with the company's long-term vision for both the product and the brand.
  • Data-Driven Forecasting: You will analyse market trends, historical data, and competitor strategies to forecast product performance and adjust marketing approaches to maximize long-term success.

About You

You must operate with strategic vision, leadership, and cross-functional influence as compared to a junior team member who focuses on tactical execution, learning, and supporting senior leadership. The AD's role is characterised by a higher level of responsibility, accountability, and decision-making authority, which shapes the overall direction and success of marketing initiatives within the organization. At an AD level based in Singapore you are expected to be passionately aligned with the company's ambition and core values and be committed to driving growth and performance.

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in brand marketing or a related role.
    • Experience working with executives.
    • Experience working on cross-collaborative projects.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Experience in driving business impact through marketing.

  • You Are A Notch Above If You Have
    • An MBA in marketing and/or business administration.
