The Associate Field Technical Service Specialist is responsible for all aspects of equipment support performed at customer sites or prior to delivery, and to ensure that it is completed in compliance with all company policies and standard operating procedures. This may include pre-delivery inspection, installation, commissioning, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, breakdown repair, and in-service to customers on basic device maintenance.
You will be the contact point with the local customers pertaining to equipment services, and may be responsible for providing quotations and negotiating discounts within the approved DOA.
A Day in the Life
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Perform technical activities requiring considerable judgment, and participate in minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports
Ensure test tool and spare parts are available while on the field
Maintain relationships with the biomedical engineers, in-country commercial organization, and customers
Provide supervised assistance to the commercial team during product demonstrations, and provide guided communication to customers on product lifecycle management, product upgrades, and upcoming new product introductions
Display knowledge and expertise on Medtronic products, and advise internal and external customers during discussions
Ensure all documentation and system entries are fully completed in a timely manner
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree is required

Your Profile
At least 1 year of experience working with medical devices, either within a healthcare company or within the hospital (ICU or Operating Theater)
Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Biomedical Engineering
Basic knowledge of ISO13485 / Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMD)
Basic knowledge in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions and practice
Basic knowledge with SAP / ServiceMax
Valid local drivers license and vehicle
Able to lift a maximum of 15kg of equipment, unassisted
