Your Role
As part of the Group Reporting team, you will be performing entity control and Group reporting for Singapore entities.
You are detailed orientated and have a strong sense of meeting deadlines. Experience in Financial sector would be a plus. You are independent, like to work on multiple tasks and can pro-actively manage multiple stakeholders in various functions including Front office, Risk, Treasury and Corporate Advisory.
Your most important tasks will include: -
Oversight of the month end ledger closing process, including the review of one-off journal entries and adjustments
New account/department verification in the ledger system
Involved in the Financial Accounting Head Office reporting and coordinate sign-off from Local CFO and CRM
IFRS 16 reporting - working with procurement to capture new leases, monthly checks on IFRS 16 balances
Ensure compliance with the minimum standards for financial and regulatory reporting and SOX controls
Supports the review of representative office financial statements and bank statements in ASEAN
Balance Sheet substantiation and support data quality improvement initiatives and investigation
Support payment activities
Service management of outsourced Finance Services providers
Participate in ad-hoc projects as required
Who are we looking for, your profile & competencies:
Skills and Competency
At least 3 years of experience working in a financial institution, preferably in the area of financial reporting and or with audit background
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent professional qualification in accounting and Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant
Excellent knowledge of local and international financial reporting standards and understand latest technical issues and their implications
Strong understanding of financial market products, hedge accounting, valuation adjustments and understanding of drivers behind valuation of various derivative products
Knowledge of liquidity coverage ratio, net stable funding ratio requirements will be preferred
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders
Positive can-do attitude and attention to detail
Able to independently resolve issues
