Associate / Senior Associate, Strategic Research and Translational Thrust (SRTT), Research Office

We are recruiting an Associate / Senior Associate to join a multistakeholder team to manage and support the execution of A.STAR's Strategic Research and Translational Thrust (SRTT) as part of Central Initiative Directorate (CID). The SRTT are major strategic programmes in priority areas identified by A.STAR for long-term investment to preposition A.STAR for advancement in emerging scientific domains.

Reporting to the SRTT Deputy Director to support the SRTT and RGM administrative activities, the role includes but not limited to:

• Provide day-to-day general administrative and office support
• Handle correspondence, prepare documents, and manage office communications. Perform filing, data entry, and maintenance of office records.
• Handle Procurement / Finance related matters, e.g., Raise budget memo for approval, raise purchase requests, goods receiving etc.
• Logistic support for events such as roadshows, townhalls as required
• Manage and coordinate schedules for CID based on event and meeting requirements.
• Travel Arrangements for advisory board members and others as required.
• Any other administrative duties assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma with minimum 3 years relevant experience in an administrative or office management role
• Positive attitude and motivated self-starter who is independent and is comfortable to work in teams
• Able to anticipates issues and adapts plans to achieve desired results
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for good relationship management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and able to present information in a logical manner
• Some experience with digital dashboards for monitoring and tracking (eg Power BI, Tableau) will be a plus
