Responsibilities:
Key Finance person to review and work on the statutory, business license, taxation, trade compliance and related compliance matters. Regularly report and provide feasible solutions to company management.
Coordinate the preparation and filing of annual tax returns and any tax audits with external consultants.
Ensure compliance with the Asian subsidiaries financial and tax reporting requirements.
Handle the correspondences from Tax authorities on assessments, tax notices, tax audit requirements and related issues.
Keep the transfer pricing and service fee agreements updated, perform regular review and revision of intercompany transfer pricing agreement to ensure alignment with TP basis.
Perform review of Asian subsidiaries operating margin forecasts and carry out timely and appropriate transfer pricing updates in accordance with SOP
Prepare for BEPS compliance readiness and implement/streamline processes
Keep abreast of and facilitate tax incentive/credit schemes and applicable grants, and monitor compliance with the requirements
Work on the legal entity structure for subsidiaries as required for due diligence, tax and PE risk mitigation.
Provide relevant information to senior management and business stakeholders by proactively monitoring regulatory changes in the region/country, and minimize corporate taxation risk.
Review cross-border legal agreements as needed and advise on possible tax and legal implications.
Perform in-depth regional/country tax analysis as needed to support tax planning, transaction processes, and identify feasible solutions to address tax issues
Work with cross functional team and external contacts including tax/trade compliance consultants and auditors.
Open to take on expanded Compliance roles and responsibilities to increase compliance controls and awarenessQualifications:
Bachelors degree in accountancy (or equivalent) with over five years experience in tax accounting and compliance, transfer pricing analysis and other statutory compliance matters in Asia region
A Tax professional with regional/country tax knowledge and commercial focus. Able to provide leadership, set priorities and meet timetables leading to the attainment of goals.
Hands-on and pragmatic approach to tax, transfer pricing and trade compliance matters in Asia region in alignment with US headquarters Tax team. Able to independently conduct research and provide informed decision support on regional tax matters
Understanding of accounting (including GAAP), finance and information services.
An ability to see the big-picture and how Tax and Finance can contribute to enable the regional business growth.
A collaborative team player and leader who proactively engages with the cross functional team, and has the ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with all levels of management within a team environment on a variety of programs and projects.
Demonstrated project management skills, including forecasting skills, project planning and the development of project timelines.

Proficient in Microsoft software and familiarity with use of ERP system
The candidate is expected to independently conduct teleconference discussions with tax professional consultants and senior management and set priorities and meet timetables for the attainment of goals and deliverables.
